Magic: The Gathering, you play the role of a planeswalker a powerful wizard who fights other planeswalkers for glory, knowledge, and conquest.  Your deck of cards represents all the weapons in your arsenal.  It contains the spells you know and the creatures you can summon to fight for you.

We typically host 1 tournament per month for Magic.  As with all games we do free demos and lessons here in our gameroom.  Contact Brad with specific Magic questions.
Normal deck construction consists of a minimum of 60 cards.  Each deck may contain no more than (4) copies of any card except basic lands.

Victory goes to the player that reduces his opponent's life points to zero or less.

Typical organized play constructed deck formats are: Standard, Extended, Vintage, Legacy, Block, and Two-Headed Giant.
        + Vintage -         All Magic booster sets, starter decks, and special collections may be
                        used with exception to Unglued and Unhinged.  Uses the Vintage         
                        banned and restricted list.

        + Legacy -        All Magic booster sets, starter decks, and special collections may be
                        used with exception to Unglued and Unhinged.  Uses the Legacy         
                        banned list.

        + Extended -         The most recent (8) blocks of Magic sets along with the accompanying
                        basic/core sets are legal for use.  Uses the Extended banned list. 
                        Currently these sets are:

                                * Invasion

Prizes include a $25 in store credit as well as DCI prize support.

Since this is not a sanctioned event by the DCI current DCI members will not need their DCI membership cards.  Players without DCI numbers will be able to register for theirs free of charge before the tournament begins at 3:00p.m.  Go to the official WotC Magic Rules page for more information about banned and restricted cards, card errata, and tournament rules.
