Order VS. System Product
VS. System is the premiere Super-Hero trading card game.  Currently DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and Dark Horse comics have sets in the game.  All three universes are completely compatible.  Each set features certain teams and characters.  If you are a Superman fan you can construct a deck based on Superman.  If you are a Brotherhood of Mutants fan you can construct a deck based on the Brotherhood and its past and present members.

We typically host 2 tournaments per month for VS. System.  As with all games we do free demos and lessons here in our gameroom.  Contact Nathan with specific VS. System questions.
Normal deck construction consists of a minimum of 60 cards.  Each deck may contain no more than (4) copies of any card unless that card has the version of 'Army' or its text specifially states otherwise.

Victory goes to the player at the highest endurance total at the end of a turn where only (1) or (0) players have positive totals.

Typical organized play constructed deck formats are: Golden Age, Silver Age, Modern Age,  Build-Your-Own-Set, Random Punks, and Build-a-Legend.  There are many other fun formats that we use, though, making this the most player-friendly card game to-date.

+ Golden Age -         Allows all VS. System booster sets, starter decks, and special
                        collections to be used.

+ Silver Age -        Allows the most recent (4) booster sets from both Marvel and DC as
well as associated starter decks and special sets.  Currently this
                        includes:
                                - DC Infinite Crisis
                                - DC Legion of Super-Heroes
                                - DC World's Finest
                                - DC Legends
                                - DC Exclusive
                                - Marvel Heralds of Galactus
                                - Marvel Team-Up
                                - Marvel Legends
                                - Marvel Universe
                                - Marvel Age of Apocalypse
                                - Marvel Coming of Galactus Raid Deck
                                - Marvel Exclusive
                                - Marvel Ultimates
                                - Essential Hellboy Collection

+ Modern Age -        Allows the most recent (2) booster sets from both Marvel and DC as
well as associated starter decks and special sets.  Currently this
                        includes:
                                - DC World's Finest
                                - DC Legends
                                - DC Exclusive
                                - Marvel Legends
                                - Marvel Universe
                                - Marvel Age of Apocalypse
                                - Marvel Coming of Galactus Raid Deck
                                - Marvel Exclusive
                                - Marvel Ultimates
                                - Essential Hellboy Collection

+ Build-Your-Own-Set -        All cards in your deck must be in the same set. In other words,
all cards in your deck must have been printed with the same three-letter
set code. The actual cards you put in your deck don’t need to share a
set code, however. For example, you can play a Flying Kick from a set
other than Marvel Origins if you are playing a Marvel Origins deck.  For
this format, starter decks are not considered to be part of the base sets
but you can play a deck consisting entirely of cards from a given starter
or the Hellboy Essential Collection set.

+ Random Punks -         No rares allowed.

+ Build-a-Legend -         You must choose a character name and include at least 12
cards: with that exact name and/or that refer to a character card with
that name in their game text.

+ Build-a-Team -         Choose a team affiliation.  All character cards must have that
printed affiliation.  All non-character cards must refer to the chosen
                        affiliation or be completely generic.

+ Clone Saga -         Uniqueness is not checked when recruiting character cards.

+ Alter Ego -         Players use one of the (8) oversize Alter Ego cards.

+ Random Ego-        Players are randomly given one of the (8) oversize Alter Ego cards to
                        use each round.

+ Marvel Meets DC -         50% of your deck must be from a DC set and 50% from a
                        Marvel set.

+ Good VS Evil -         Each player constructs (2) decks.  (1) deck must be designated
as a 'Hero' deck and (1) as a 'Villain' deck.  Prior to each match players
randomly determine which deck they use.  Each match will always have
a Hero deck facing a Villain deck.

+ Common Enemy -         50% of your deck must be Heroic-team related and 50% of your
                        deck must be Villainous-team related.
VS. System utilizes a single banned list for all formats of constructed play.  Here is the current list of banned cards in organized play:

        * Antarctic Research Base <Marvel Origins>
        * Detective Chimp, Bobo T. Chimpanzee <Infinite Crisis>
