Normal army construction consists of 1,000 points or more. Each unit/miniature has a specific point value depending on its strengths and weaknesses.
Victory conditions vary depending on what players agree on before the game. Victory conditions can also be selected randomly prior to combat. Different campaigns/scenarios often have specific victory conditions or combinations of conditions.
Typical organized play constructed army builds are: 1,000-points, 2,000-points, 40K-in-a-Flash, and Apocalypse. There are many other fun formats that we use, too. Here are some specifics:
+ 40K-in-a-Flash - Players construct armies of 500 points
- Must contain at least (1) troop choice
- May contain (1) HQ choice
- May not contain more than (50) points of war gear
- May not contain models may have more than (3) wounds
- May not contain special characters
- May not contain (2+) or better saves
- May not contain vehicles with a total points value greater than (200)
+ Apocalypse - Players construct armies of 3,000 points or more (usually for more
than two players)
- Ignore force organization chart
- Allows super-heavy vehicles
- Allows legendary units
